Neutral Shipping with Cargoboard – How Discreet Shipping Works

What does neutral shipping mean?

With neutral shipping, your shipments are sent without any visible sender or recipient information.

This allows you to deliver goods without the recipient knowing where the shipment originally came from or through which stations it passed.

Conversely, it’s also possible that the sender does not know who the shipment is being delivered to.
This can be particularly useful if you want to protect your customer data or distribution partners – for example, in dropshipping or resale scenarios.

A common example:
Some of our customers prefer that recipients do not see that their goods are not shipped from Germany but, for instance, from Eastern Europe. With Cargoboard’s neutral shipping option, that’s no problem – the shipment remains completely neutral.

How neutral shipping works at Cargoboard

During the booking process, you can provide alternative sender and recipient information.

Below the address entry, you’ll find a switch labeled “Neutral Shipping.” When you activate it, you can enter alternative sender and recipient details.

You can specify not only a neutral sender, but also a neutral recipient address.
This way, your entire supply chain remains protected in both directions.

The shipping process itself remains unchanged:

  • Your shipment is picked up and delivered as usual.

  • Transit times, pricing, and services remain the same.

  • The neutral information simply ensures that neither the origin nor the actual recipient can be identified.

When is neutral shipping useful?

Neutral shipping is particularly suitable if you:

  • Are a reseller or intermediary and want to keep your supply chain confidential.

  • Deliver directly to end customers without revealing the original sender.

  • Coordinate shipments from different regions but wish to present a unified brand.

  • Want to protect your customer or recipient data from the sender.
