For parcel shipping, we work with our trusted partner UPS. Thanks to the high shipping volume we process with UPS, Cargoboard customers benefit from particularly competitive rates.
1. Choosing your packaging type
On the first step of the booking process, please select "Box/Parcel" as your packaging type if you want to ship a parcel.
❗ Important:
If you would like to ship freight via freight shipping and parcels via parcel shipping, these shipping methods must be booked separately.
Alternatively, you can also send your parcels together with your pallets via freight shipping.
⚠️ Please note: Make sure your shipment stays within the size and weight limits listed below to be handled as a parcel.
Parcel shipping limits:
-
Maximum length: 100 cm
-
Maximum second-longest side: 76 cm
-
Maximum girth (L + 2×W + 2×H): 300 cm
-
Maximum weight: 32 kg
Note: Parcels that exceed these limits cannot be shipped via UPS.
Incorrect details (whether intentional or accidental) may lead to additional charges, as all shipments are automatically measured and weighed at the UPS parcel hub.
Proper packaging not only protects your goods, but also helps you avoid additional costs.

2. Selecting the Shipping Method
On the second page of the booking process, you can choose between the following shipping methods:
-
Parcel shipping (UPS)
-
Freight shipping
-
Courier service
❗ Please note:
You cannot send both freight and parcel shipments within the same booking process.
Please choose either parcel or freight shipping.
3. Configuring the Parcel Shipment
On the third page, you have the option to configure your parcel shipment individually:
✅ Signature Required
Delivery will only be made with the recipient’s signature or that of an authorized person.
✅ Direct Delivery
If this option is selected, the parcel will be delivered only to the address you provided.
Redirecting to another address or alternative delivery options are excluded.
Delivery to the specified address will either be:
-
by the driver personally (e.g. at a designated drop-off location), or
-
by placing the parcel in the mailbox
✅ Shipping Insurance
Here, you can enter the value of your shipment to take out additional shipping insurance.
Without this, UPS only provides liability coverage up to €510€ per shipment.
4. Tracking & Notifications
Once your booking is complete, you (and your recipient, if desired) will automatically receive notifications whenever the shipment status changes.
You can adjust the frequency of these notifications in your Cargoboard account under "Notifications".
You can also find the UPS tracking link at any time:
-
In the emails we send you
-
In your order overview in your Cargoboard account
